Animal Art Sale: A Really Huge Success!

We raised $275.26 and all the money will be donated to the Rainforest Action Network. The sale was a huge success because we sold 60 pieces of animal art. Many kids stayed after school to help. We did this because we care deeply about animals and the environment because animals are becoming extinct and the environment is being destroyed.

Thank you to Ms. Phillips for giving us permission and to Joe for setting up our tables. Thank you to all the people who helped and all the people who donated money for the Rainforest Action Network. Thank you to the Rainforest Action Network for keeping animals and the environment safe!

Keep Making Art!

Keep Making Art!

We only have 41 pieces of art for the sale!

Remember, you can make anything from jewelry to clay sculptures. Also, if you have an instrument and would like to play, you are totally welcome. Parents can participate in making art as well! If we don't make more art, the sale will not be a success!

Family Friday: Signs from Colonial America

It was great to see so many of you in the classroom on Friday for Family Friday! This month, we created art related to Colonial America. Each student chose an occupation from Colonial America that they were interested in and read up about the job. Then, working with families in the room and friends, students created their own signs just like those that would have lined a street in Colonial America. Our signs all include images because a significant part of the population was illiterate at the time.

Enjoy some pictures of our time painting!

Here are a few samples of our signs. We still have some finishing touches to put on the signs, so we'll update again when they are finished. Enjoy!
