Ava's Amazing Idea

Ava says, "This was my first piece of art for the project. Everyone in my family thought it was brilliant. They suggested I make more to sell and give the money to a charity. A couple of days before that, I had gotten a note from the WWF thanking me for helping so much and giving me all these profiles of animals. So I thought maybe I could make more to sell and share the project with my class so they could help with it also. We'll hope to sell our work on or near Earth Day!"

Here are some questions to consider:
  • Do you want to volunteer to help with the project?
  • Do you have any ideas for the sale?
  • What kinds of art could we make to sell?
Post your answers below! Be sure to read all the comments.

  3. Hi Class,

I am really excited to be part of this project. We'll have our first meeting on Wednesday in the classroom during recess. I hope you can make it. We'll talk about ideas then and make some plans for how to get the work done in time for the sale.

    Keep the ideas coming!

  5. I like that the picture is fully used;it's like the WWF;not wasting anything for the animals! I also like that the bird is perched on the tree branch. It's so realistic! -Eric

  6. I think we should be able to do all different types of animals ( house pets, wild animals or evan abstract animals,or regular animals with a abstract back round). As long as people put enough time and work into it, if people buy the picture and they like it, it's fine because we still get money to donate to charities.

  7. I agree with everyone above-it shouldn't matter what sort of animals we make as long as people will want to by them. KEEP MAKING ART!!!!!!! I'm sure that people will love it.
